Inspired by the quiet beauty of Australian native flora, this piece explores the way light can transform and reveal even the smallest details of the natural world. Layers of cascading foliage, banksias and delicate blossoms emerge from a darkened ground, creating a space of stillness, shelter and reflection.
Working in a limited palette allowed me to focus on texture, pattern and line, inviting the eye to wander and rest among the details. I wanted this work to feel like stepping into a hidden garden at dusk—one where light gently gathers and lingers. Acrylic on canvas. 105 x 63 cm. Framed in a beautiful black timber frame.
