A Soft Place to Land explores the idea of refuge within the natural world. Inspired by the gentle abundance of Australian native flora, this work layers intricate linework with soft tonal colour to create a sense of calm and quiet immersion. Banksia forms and cascading foliage intertwine against a deep background, allowing delicate details to emerge slowly and reward close viewing. The contrast between darkness and luminosity invites stillness, offering a moment of rest within complexity. This piece reflects my ongoing practice of celebrating nature as a place of sanctuary, connection and renewal.
